Progeny Tested Sires: These sires are those that have sired registered or computed calves in the past four years and met an accuracy standard of .50 with the weaning weight EPD evaluation. The weaning weight EPD factor is used as a selection criterion as it is the trait with the most information. EPD and accuracy values for all other traits are published for these sires. Bulls listed in this category have sired enough progeny to provide added predictability. Genetic Indicator Sires: This section provides data on bulls born in the last six years and meeting an accuracy value of .40 to .49 in the weaning weight EPD analysis. The value of this category is to distribute information on bulls with potential for use in breeding programs. The EPD values for these bulls should be considered in relation to lower accuracy values.
